Impacting Lives

I graduated from Covington High School in 2006 and started at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. When I graduated from IU, I had no idea where life was going to take me. I knew I wanted to help people in some capacity. I moved home to Covington and met Sue. She encouraged me to attend the CASA training that summer, and I never looked back. As a CASA, it was amazing to see the impact one person has the potential to have on another. CASAs have the unique ability to give a voice to and advocate for a child who may not have an opportunity to be heard while their case moves through the legal system. Becoming a CASA is a remarkable experience, and I have Sue and the program to thank for giving me the chance to give back to my community and to find something I truly enjoy doing.
